How Should a Women's Golf Glove Fit?

The best fit feels almost like a second skin: secure across the palm and fingers, comfortable when you grip the club, and free from large areas of loose or bunching material.

Getting that fit right can improve comfort, feel, and your connection with the club.

How Tight Should a Golf Glove Be?

A golf glove should feel snug, but not uncomfortably tight.

You shouldn't have large amounts of excess material across your palm or at the ends of your fingers.

At the same time, the glove shouldn't feel so tight that it restricts your hand or becomes uncomfortable when you make a fist or grip the club.

A properly fitting glove should move naturally with your hand.

Signs Your Golf Glove Is Too Big

Your glove may be too large if:

Material bunches across the palm.
There is significant extra space at the fingertips.
The glove moves or shifts on your hand.
The closure has to be pulled unusually far to create a secure fit.

A golf glove isn't supposed to fit like a winter glove. A close fit is intentional.

How Do I Measure My Hand for a Women's Golf Glove?

If you wear longer nails or nail extensions, include the additional nail length in your measurement when choosing a full-coverage glove.

Palm width is a secondary measurement. If your palm width exceeds the limit listed for your size, consider sizing up.

Small: 6–6¼" hand length
Medium: 6⅜" hand length
M/L: 6¾" hand length
Large: 7⅛" hand length

Fit preference and hand shape vary, so measurements should be used as a guide.

If your hand length points to one size but your palm width exceeds that size's listed limit, consider sizing up.

Remember that your glove should fit closely without restricting movement.

Do Long Nails Change My Golf Glove Size?
